Piqued interest leading to fleeting satisfaction. It's all around us. It's what this generation is built on. It is what we have put our hope in. Our world is built on things that are made to temporarily fill our hearts. The purpose of these earthly things is fleeting. There is no eternal value to the things of this world. When we fill our day with back-to-back fleeting joys, it is harder to notice that we are not content with our lives. But ask yourself if you sat alone and just was still. Would you be okay? Do you have a purpose? Are you fulfilled? See, we have taken the million pieces of our broken hearts and placed them in things we hope to fulfill us. When one thing fails us, we feel alone. Discontent. Worthless. What if I told you that the world has lied to us? It has promised us happiness in things that are designed to fail. The buzz fades. The night closes. The college years end.
