Psalm 103:1-5
As if the gift of the cross wasn't enough.
As if the sacrifice of His own life wasn’t a great enough display of affection.
My Jesus reaches even further.
He extends His arm of compassion even deeper into my soul.
He Himself is forgiveness in the fullest form.
He didn't despise or reject the lesser evils in my life.
His death was the price for all iniquity.
All my sin. Forgiven.
In full.
The magnitude of my sin was deep, and yet His love for me ran deeper.
Bless the Lord oh my soul.
The washing of my sin, the removal of my transgression.
My brain can't comprehend this kind of mercy.
But He doesn't end this flow of grace at the cross.
His concern does not only consist of my forgiveness.
He wants to heal me.
He cares about every single fiber of my being.
If my soul was sick, I have been made well.
If my body has been bruised by the weight of my iniquity, then I have been healed.
If the shackles I once wore as a slave to sin cut into me, my Jesus has restored my flesh.
The condition of my soul was fading, and yet He healed me.
Bless the Lord oh my soul!
I once was walking, blindfolded by the fleeting satisfaction of this world.
I once was moved in the darkness, my only guidance being the desires of my flesh.
But I have been redeemed.
My heart was running towards destruction at the pace of the prince of the air,
But now my soul dances to the rhythm of the King's melody.
My Jesus didn’t wait for me to cry out in despair.
He went before me and prepared a path of redemption.
I have been redeemed from the things I have known to destroy me, and the things left unknown.
I have been redeemed from my flesh and the world, but my Savior also saved me from the rulers and principalities that linger in a realm I am unable to see.
I have been redeemed by the power of God-
Bless the Lord oh my soul!!!
His forgiveness, incomprehensible.
His healing, leaving me unrecognizable.
His redemption, far too great to express…
But My Jesus doesn't stop there.
He extends deeper.
He reaches further.
He crowns me with loving kindness.
He crowns my head with tender mercies.
As if I was a princess in the Kingdom in which He reigns, He has crowned me with the gift of never ending grace.
He has given me a crown, so I may carry it all the days of my life.
His great love.
His mercy.
Freely given, and now bestowed on me as a crown of salvation.
Bless the Lord oh my soul.
And after the washing of sin, the healing of my transgressions, the redemption of my path to destruction, and the inauguration into his Kingdom of love-
My Jesus leaves me no choice but to be satisfied.
This is not pleasure, or excitement, or even a fleeting feeling.
No.
This is different.
Because it never ends.
Never fails.
I have been placed underneath the fountain of grace.
The Fathers favor is ever flowing.
And I am satisfied.
He doesn't leave one thing undone.
My Jesus has fulfilled every need.
I am made new.
Bless the Lord oh my soul.
All that is within me.
Bless His Holy name.
Bless the Lord oh my soul.
Forget not all His benefits.
