DON'T GO THROUGH THE MOTIONS!!

Writing a blog is not just for the people that read it, because to be completely honest, when I start to write about something, it is usually something that I am needing the Spirit to remind me of… and lately, I have been struggling with going through the motions. I find myself static in my emotions, static in my relationships, static in my schoolwork, static in my sport… and the list goes on. But this morning as I listened to the message at church, I had a huge revival and wake up call, and I wanted to share it with anyone that finds themselves struggling with the same thing I have been going through these past few weeks, and find the same revival I did from this message.

We are all going to die one day. I know, very blunt and to the point, but It is an inevitable thing that happens in everyone's life. One day, we are going to take our last breath in this earthly body and go live in a heavenly one with the Father. Or, one day, if you're not a Christian, you will take the last breath, and not get to go to heaven. Those are the only two possible outcomes from the inevitable death we all face. But once we accept that, it is up to us where we go after this life, and what we do in this one.

Being a Christian, you have ONE purpose. There are so many different ways that God calls us to live out that purpose, but as a church, we all have the same purpose and goal: to make him known and live out “His kingdom come, His will be done”.

Sometimes God calls you into ministry for that purpose, or sometimes He will call you to work in an office full of people in desperate need of hearing about a Loving Savior. Or maybe He has placed you on a sports team, full of players that need to know where their identity is found. We all have our own specific and divine placement… But the point is, where you are right now in life is a part of your purpose. NOTHING is by accident… That family you were born into, not by accident! That college you got into, not by accident! That friend group you found, not by accident!

You have a purpose right where you are, in whatever season of life you find yourself in.

But now to pose the question that wrecked my Sunday morning in the best way possible. What are you doing for the Kingdom in the season of life you find yourself?

If you are a Christian, the enemy wants you to go through the motions. He doesn’t want you to pray for your coworkers, and he surely doesn’t want you sharing the gospel with your classmates… Because by doing that, you're living out your purpose, and when people start to live out their purpose, His Kingdom comes.

I want to encourage you to live fearlessly. Ask the lady making your drink at Starbucks how you can be praying for her. Text that person who hurt your feelings with an encouraging verse. Ask the person checking you out at your favorite store what church they go to, and if they don’t have one, invite them to yours.

LIVE FEARLESSLY! LIVE A KINGDOM SEEKING LIFE!

So ask yourself, how can I start impacting the Kingdom?

For me, I am going to make it a goal this week to ask two people that I don’t know how I can pray for them. I'm also going to be more dynamic in the things I do each day. I am going to make it a point to not just have surface-level conversations, but Kingdom seeking ones instead. I won't go through the motions, but instead, live out a life that exemplifies a Kingdom seeker.

If you leave this blog and don’t remember anything else, please remember this one thing: You have a divine purpose. Your past has NO power over you, and the same power that raised Jesus from the dead can live in you if you accept Him as your Lord and Savior. God made you in His image and thought of all the amazing things that you were going to be able to accomplish in this life for Him... Stop letting the world tell you how to live your life. Stop going through the motions of life; instead, live a life as an active Kingdom seeker. You were made for so much more than you can even imagine.

Live this week, and the rest of your time here on earth fearlessly.
